    De locomotieven van klasse 52 van de Duitse Democratische Republiek (Deutsche Reichsbahn) die na de oorlog in België achterbleven, werden heringedeeld als klasse 26. Dit waren de locomotieven die in 1945 door Belgische locomotieffabrieken werden gebouwd en kort na het einde van de oorlog werden geleverd. Klasse 26 omvatte de locomotieven 26.001 tot en met 26.100.

    With the Roco 70043 and Roco 70044 models, Roco brings an impressive piece of Belgian railway history to the H0 model railway. Both items represent the powerful Class 26.084 steam locomotive of the NMBS/SNCB, a locomotive type that originated in the post-war period and is closely related to the German BR 52 wartime locomotives. The two versions differ technically, but both share the same high level of detailing and smooth running characteristics for which Roco is renowned.
