Kato

Kato Precision Railroad Models is a Japanese manufacturer of model railroad equipment in N and HO scales. Founded in 1957, the Tokyo-based company produces models based on Japanese prototypes (such as the Shinkansen bullet train and Cape railway trains and locomotives) for the Japanese market, North American prototypes for the North American market and European high-speed trains for the European market.

In both N and HO scale, Kato also produces an integrated rail brand for model railways called Unitrack. What distinguishes Unitrack from other integrated rail track brands is Kato's Unijoiner. This unique rail connector is also used by Tillig in their TT scale products with integrated bedding.
