Good news for fans of Dutch railway rolling stock: PIKO has announced a beautiful new version of the legendary NS Class 1300 for 2027. The model represents NS 1306 in the characteristic yellow-grey Era IV livery. These models are already available for pre-order and are expected to arrive in the second half of 2027. An Icon of the Dutch Railways The NS Class 1300 is one of the most recognizable electric locomotive series ever to operate on the Dutch railway network. These powerful six-axle locomotives were introduced in the 1950s and were primarily used for heavy freight services, although they could also frequently be seen hauling prestigious passenger trains. Technically, they were based on the French CC 7100 series and became a familiar sight throughout the Netherlands.
