De Pruisische stoomlocomotieven van de serie T18 werden in de periode van 1912 tot 1923 afgeleverd. De locomotieven met een symmetrische as opstelling konden zowel vooruit als achteruit 100 km/h. halen. De locomotieven als baureihe 78 in dienst bij de Deutsche Reichsbahn, werden in de jaren 70 buiten dienst gesteld.
