Pocher
Pocher is the name of an Italian brand of model toys. It is best known in the modelling world for its (kits of) car models scale 1:8. On 6 June 1952, two model railway enthusiasts Arnaldo Pocher and Corrado Muratore founded the Pocher company in Turin.
Original drawings are used as much as possible (sometimes even the original car was provided by the owner for measuring) and, besides plastic, materials such as copper, brass, rubber, canvas are used. The model is assembled as much as possible with screws, bolts and nuts and can consequently be disassembled again.
This means that a very natural and detailed model is created, which has become a highly sought-after collector's item. Experienced modellers can, for instance by painting the bodywork and adding their own details, create a model that looks almost indistinguishable from the real thing in a photo.
