Vollmer
In February 1946, at the tender age of 22, Wolfram Vollmer registered his own company to produce toys and fantasy items. He was certainly influenced by his father, who built a steam train in gauge 1 for his sons in the 1920s. The electric overhead line, which was patented and first shown to the world public at the 1949 Nuremberg Toy Fair, was also an idea that came from Wolfram Vollmer's time spent with his father. These were solid foundations for the further successful development of the Vollmer brand.
Over the years, Vollmer developed his own style. This was very well received by customers at home and abroad. Thanks to its proximity to the region of Baden Württemberg, a large number of buildings were made with a love of detail, many models with high fitting accuracy and originality.
Today, Vollmer is part of Viessmann.
