For enthusiasts of Dutch railway equipment, Märklin has announced a very special duo: the exclusive Märklin 39725 NS 1626 "Meppel" and the matching Märklin 43548 M2 passenger coach set. These models have been released to celebrate the anniversary of the partnership between Märklin and the Dutch importer De Kleine Benelux. They are being produced as a one-time, limited-edition release exclusively for the Dutch market.
A Unique NS 1600 with Historic Character
The Märklin 39725 represents the well-known NS locomotive 1626 in the distinctive signal yellow livery it carried from 1993 onwards. What makes this model particularly special is the historic coat of arms of Meppel displayed on the locomotive, recalling a memorable chapter in Dutch railway history. Developed exclusively for the Dutch market, this model will be produced in limited quantities only.
